im thinking of getting a pro account but i would like to know what the main difference is to a normal account?

No adverts, which is a good thing and far more storage space for images, audio and video files etc.
It's not that expensive if you breakdown the cost on a daily basis, which is why I have pro account and will renew it next month. -
