The video is america- centric but like all good pets the uk tends to follow whatever the master is doing! also net neutrality has nothing to do with paying for your service which everyone should do. Believe it or not but google is backing net neutrality.

Yes I know that, but someone in the video was making the point that it should be free as the phone companies had nothing to do with developing the net.
The net is already neutral in the UK as far as I know and it's hard to see that changing. If it looks likely too, I'll be writing to MPs like it's going out of fashion!

That video is more paranoid than a very paranoid thing and very America-centric.
The internet is not in principle different to satellite telly or having a phone: the service is brought into your home, so you should pay for it. The current fees are too high, but paying something for broadband is not unreasonable. Plus, if you are paying for it, you can beat someone up about it!
